The Nominations Committee of the DRC shall facilitate fair and objective election and voting processes in support of the chapters business and governance.
Aim
The Nominations Committees aim is to assure that our chapter aligns with three levels of USGBC structure - national, regional and local DRC. The committee will facilitate elections, post announcements for leadership opportunities, and shall implement voting processes under the direction of the Board. The committee will strive for an open and inclusive nomination process that encourages enhanced participation from the general membership. The committee shall attempt to ensure that the following:
1 - Requirements for each initiate are in compliance.
2 - Without conflicts of interest.
3 - Appropriate advanced communication to general membership.
4 - Content shall be fairly presented.
5 - Votes shall be counted.
6 - Results shall be provided to the Board.
The Nominations Committee shall be formed on an as-needed basis, having independent representation that is accepted by the Board. The Nominations Committee shall support and require support from the full spectrum of chapter Board and committee leadership.
