Mission
Advocate and encourage policy makers to adopt initiatives with their organizations to encourage green building techniques. Specifically, we attempt to establish LEED initiatives in state, county and local governments through advocacy and education of key decision makers.
Aim
Through advocacy, education and interaction, we seek to educate key decision-makers at all levels of political decision-making to establish an environment whereby LEED initiatives are adopted throughout our demographic and geographic areas. We understand that LEED and green building are relatively new concepts. To encourage the growth and use of these techniques, policy makers need to become better educated about the benefits and practices of green building and how best to incorporate these concepts when drafting legislation, ordinances and codes.
